frequently asked questions

Electric Off-Road Vehicle FAQs

How far can an electric off-road vehicle go on a charge?

Range depends on the model, battery size, terrain, rider weight and how hard you ride. Each product page lists the range figures for that model. If you are not sure which suits you, tell us how and where you ride and we will help you choose.

How long does charging take?

Charging time depends on the battery size and the charger. The figures are listed on each product page, and we can talk you through what your setup at home or on the farm needs.

Are electric dirt bikes and ATVs good for farm use?

Yes. They are quiet, so they do not unsettle livestock, they cost far less to run than petrol machines and they deliver strong torque on rough ground. For carrying loads, an electric UTV is usually the better fit.

Are there electric dirt bikes and quad bikes for kids?

Some models are sized for younger riders. Check the recommended age and rider weight on each product page, and always ride with proper protective gear and adult supervision.

Can I ride an electric dirt bike or ATV on public roads?

Off-road models are generally not road legal in South Africa. Ride them on private land, farms, tracks or designated trails, and check with your local licensing authority if you are unsure.
